About This Role

• You will be responsible for driving innovative energy infrastructure upgrades through development, design, implementation, and performance.

• Applicants should have the technical aptitude and the leadership skills to manage energy efficiency projects, the responsibilities for which include managing an internal team of engineers and associates and coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

• Success in this position requires a driven individual who possesses strong technical abilities, communication skills, ability to work with cross functional teams, and has a deep interest in improving energy efficiency in our built environment.

Responsibilities

• Project management, including client coordination and oversight of internal team members and third-party consultants, subcontractors, and utility providers

• Engineering management, including supervision of site audits, upgrade identification, data analysis, cost-savings calculations, and engineered drawing reviews

• Business development, including leading competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) response submissions and sales presentations

Location Request: Remote work opportunity, strong preference for resources who reside in the Arlington, VA / Washington DC metro area for ease of commute to client locations. Otherwise travel expectation is 25% with occasional overnight stays.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in engineering/STEM)

• Minimum 4 years of prior project management experience in an engineering or energy project development role working on energy savings performance contracts (ESPC) or utility energy service contracts.

• Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles associated with energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies such as boilers, chillers, building automation systems, HVAC systems, building envelope, PV solar, battery energy storage systems, cogeneration, microgrids, power systems, and water/steam distribution systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and/or sustainability.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Professional Engineer (PE) License

• Certification or educational progress toward Certified Energy Manager (CEM)

• Knowledge of measurement and verification (M&V) procedures

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
